Made in Abyss (Japanese: meidoinabisu Hepburn Meido in Abisu) is an Japanese manga written and illustrated by Akihito Tsukushi. The manga has been published on Takeshobo’s digital publication Webcomic Gamma since 2012 and was made into ten volumes of tankobon. The story is about an orphaned girl Riko who meets and can befriend a humanoid robot Reg and then descends along with him into the “Abyss” that leads deep into Earth with the hope of getting her mother back.
