Companies that are looking to create a strategy for export and deployment through The Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation are qualified to apply for this grant. International Market Access Grant. Although the business does not have to be located in Wisconsin however, it must be able to have its export-related activities in the state and generate economic benefits for the state. Prior to COVID, companies had to consent to a 30 percent cost-matching requirement for the grant granted, however, this requirement was temporarily lifted.

Entrepreneurial Training Program

The Entrepreneurial Training Program provides grants of up to $750 for entrepreneurs who have completed the startup course from the Small Business Development Center at the University of Wisconsin. Entrepreneurs must provide a minimum of $250, and the course must be focused on business models or planning.

Business and Commercialization Micro-Grant

Amount of Grant: Up to $4,500
Due Date: Ongoing

Wisconsin businesses that are research-oriented or have technology-related products may apply for a business and Commercialization Micro-Grant through the Center for Technology Commercialization (CTC). The grant can cover the amount of up to 75% of the expenses of using an independent third party to develop an enterprise or commercialization plan. The maximum amount of this grant is $4500.

Private Grants

Main Street Bounceback Grants

Amount of Grant: $10,000
Due Date: June 30

The Main Street Bounceback grant offers $10,000 to established or new businesses that move into vacant commercial spaces in commercial corridors and downtowns in Wisconsin. The companies can’t be part of an international or regional chain except if they’re independently owned and managed franchises. The grant also bans real estate investment companies, home-based businesses, and property owners. The space is not intended exclusively for storage or use for residential purposes.

Dairy Business Innovation Alliance Grant Program

Due Date: March 31

Operate a dairy farm or operate a processing facility located in Wisconsin, Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, or South Dakota. You may be eligible to receive a grant from the Dairy Business Innovation Alliance (DBIA) Grant Program. While grant amounts aren’t yet available, past recipients were awarded up to $250,000 from similar programs that are offered by the DBIA. Applications are open until February 1, and it is suggested that to take part in a DBIA webcast series to get ready to submit your application.

Launch La Crosse Recovery Program Launch La Crosse Recovery Program gives La Crosse County retail, business, and restaurant owners grants that range from $5,000. The business can have as many as 30 employees, and the purpose on the grants is to help companies to connect with their customers by using new strategies. Grants are awarded each two weeks. To be eligible, a company must demonstrate an economic loss due to COVID-19.
