PQShield Funds $20M of Series A Capital

PQShield, a London-based security company specializing in post-quantum cryptography, has raised $20 million in Series A financing.

It was led by Addition With the participation of existing Investors Oxford Science Enterprises (formerly OSI) and Crane.

The company plans to utilize the money to boost the creation of products and hires and expand its international footprint.

The money can be utilized to increase PQShield’s footprint across its markets in the US and EMEA, as well as launch in new markets like Japan and Japan and speed up the development of the product. PQShield is also planning to increase its workforce before the end of 2022. starting with the hiring of Graeme Hickey, formerly of NXP Semiconductors, as Senior Director of Hardware Engineering.

Directed by the CEO and founder Ali El Kaafarani, PQShield is a cybersecurity firm specializing in post-quantum cryptography. It protects the data from today’s attacks and prepares companies to face the future threat landscape. Quantum-secure cryptographic solutions integrate with companies’ legacy systems to secure devices and sensitive data today and in the future. The company can demonstrate quantum-safe encryption on chips, applications, and the cloud. The headquarters are in the UK, and PQShield has additional teams in the United States, France, and the Netherlands.
