By default, Discord will only allow one client to run at one time. This is a problem for people who utilize Discord for more than entertainment and prefer keeping their contact information or activities separated between multiple accounts. It’s unlikely to want Xx_360NoSc0pe_xX calling you during a work meeting.
You could utilize the Desktop and web client simultaneously, download the test build for public use, and then run it in conjunction with the production build, But is there an easier way? The good news is there’s a way to launch multiple discord clients simultaneously and without third-party applications or software. Here’s how!

How to Run Multiple Instances of Discord in Windows 10
To begin, close all running instances of Discord. If your Discord client has been set for “Minimize for Tray,” ensure that you right-click it on the Tray of the System and then select Stop Discord.
Press Windows Key + R on your keyboard to open Run. Launch window. You can also type in Run within the Windows 10 start menu and start it from there.
Copy and paste the text into the following command in the Open field, and then click the Enter key to enter the command on your keyboard (or press the “OK” button).
In the Local Window that appears, open the Discord folder, then the folder app- (i.e., app-0.0.309) folder.
Find Discord.exe and right-click it. Move your cursor over the Send To > and choose the Desktop (create shortcut).
Return to your Desktop and look for the new shortcut that you created. Right-click it, and then select properties.
If you are in the Target field In the Target field, add the word “multi-instance” at the beginning of the Target. Below is an example of how this could appear.
Select the Apply or OK button to save the modifications.
Then, open Discord with this new shortcut icon. Then start it again by clicking that same icon. The first client should sign in with your account that you typically use to use Discord, while the second will require users to sign in using an alternative account.
It is now possible to use multiple Discord clients and connect to multiple Discord accounts from the same machine. There’s also no limitation on this (other than the PC’s resources). You can use the number of accounts you want!

How to Launch Multiple Discord Clients in Linux
This approach will heavily rely on the environment on your computer. However, the steps will be identical.
Navigate to /usr/share/applications and locate discord.desktop.
The Discord.desktop file in text editor, and then add the –multi-instance near the top of the Exec line.
You can launch Discord as many times as you like!
Logging into multiple Discord accounts at the same time
As I mentioned, you will now be able to sign to multiple Discord accounts simultaneously on the same computer.
Following the above steps Follow the steps above, start 2 instances on Discord. The first one will sign in to the same account you have used. The second one will require you to sign in to an account. Just enter the credentials of your second account, and you can take advantage of multi-account Discord!
