Exploring Elden Ring is not as straightforward as it appears to be. Sometimes, you know you need to go but can’t figure out how to get there! The quest for paths to the various hidden places inside Elden Ring is one of the game’s most challenging puzzles that requires you to be attentive to your surroundings.

Hermit Village, located in Elden Ring, is the most obvious place on the map; however, when you try to find a route toward the town, you will be battling a lot!

How to Get to Hermit Village in Elden Ring

It is located in Hermit Village, southwest of Volcano Manor, in Mt. Gelmir However, you have to walk a long distance to get there.

There are two methods to reach Hermit Village. Hermit Village. The most straightforward method is to locate the Medallion halves to activate the Grand Lift of Dectus and follow a safe route to the village. If you’re still not activated for your Grand Lift of Dectus, then you need to go to the second option towards Hermit Village, which includes the boss fight.

We strongly recommend that you get all the Medallion half at Fort Farogh and Fort Haight and then take to the Altus Plateau path as it’s more convenient and quicker. It’s also less likely to be confronted by any bosses while you get these Medallion halves.

After you have activated the lift and arrived at Altus Plateau:

  1. Find the Erdtree-Gazing Hills Site in the area of Grace to the north, just before you reach the lift.
  2. Follow the red path as depicted in the image below until you get to The Blue circle, which is Hermit Village.
  3. Be aware that you’ll come across two bosses walking to the village.

However, you are free to ignore them and continue along your route.
